-there was a "plane disturbance" by a man who was putting up a fight with those around him and cussing up a storm. some security came and demanded he "quit resisting" and the rest of the plan was instructed not to watch. he was surrounded by 3 bald-headed british white men. later, i saw him being interrogated with much shouting at the airport in entebbe. also we had a four-hour delay in london. i slept through the delay. i was alright.
-i watched the Last King of Scotland (about uganda and Idi Amin), Flight of the Conchords and half of District 9 on the plane. 8 hours later we arrived in Uganda at 230 am. i had chicken tikki marsala for dinner and a chicken salad sandwich for lunch.
-there is only red, black and yellow in the flag of uganda. no green. sorry meg.
-pulling out of the parking lot in the bus, i waved at a man with an AK47 - he waved back. friends? probably.
-spending the rest of the night at a convent not far from the airport. sleeping under a mosquito net.

mmm, Chiken Tikki!
