- i finally got told i "look smart" (= look sharp, well-dressed)
- this morning one of my sisters shouted out me to come out and see "the moon is fighting with the sun!" it was a solar eclipse.
- i met dennis at lunch. he plays football for the university. he wondered if i was a boxer. i'm not. dennis also invited me to watch some matches with him, i couldn't. he also wondered if rambo was real and if he could kill entire barracks of soldiers all by himself.
- my friend, mary, was asked by a ugandan to join him in marriage, essentially. He is 36, she is 20. she doesn't think she will accept. i think she might. he seems pretty persistent.
